Membership -> Code of Conduct
As a member of the Winnipeg Goldeyes Fan Club, you agree to abide by the following Code of
Conduct. Violation of this Code will be grounds for dismissal from the Club.A member is not
only loyal to the Goldeyes, but also adheres to the points in the Code of Conduct. These points
outline the ideals, conduct, and the philosophy of the club and its' members. We expect members
of the Winnipeg Goldeyes Fan Club to abide by these guidelines while participating in fan club
functions or when displaying fan club colours.
Code of Conduct
All members agree to uphold the Constitution and By-Laws of the Winnipeg Goldeyes
Fan Club.
- A member does not criticize or attempt to influence the Winnipeg Goldeyes franchise regarding player selection, coaching, trades, and other decisions made by the team management. A member recognizes the decisions are made to benefit the team.
- A member exhibits dignity, pride, and poise - characteristic of the franchise and the club. A member does not taunt in victory or exhibit bad sportsmanship in defeat.
- A member wearing the Winnipeg Goldeyes or Fan Club logo is a representative of the club and conducts themselves in a manner that does not taint or discredit the members or the club's ideals.
- A member is always courteous and respectful to any member or guest during club meetings or functions.
- A member does not engage in any activity that embarrasses or inhibits others from enjoying a Winnipeg Goldeyes game.
- A member does not disparage other teams or their fans. A member acknowledges their allegiance and respects their loyalty.
- A member preserves and supports the club, its' members, and philosophy by remaining committed to the fellowship in action and/or spirit.
- A member recognizes the efforts of the Winnipeg Goldeyes players as playing to the best of their ability in an effort to win each and every game, also accepting the fact that mistakes and miscues are human.
- A member agrees not to misrepresent themselves to other members, other fan clubs, and other franchises.
- A member understands that any volunteer work for the Winnipeg Goldeyes Field of Dreams Foundation will be performed without expectation of remuneration or favor.
- A member agrees not to "stalk" players after practices and games.
All violations of the above statements and others that may seem to disrupt a person's life, not covered by this Code of Conduct, will be reviewed by the Board of Directors to determine whether or not that conduct falls into the parameters set forth above and will be grounds for immediate dismissal from this Club.
